Sustainability in Focus: Kautex Invests in Solar Energy
Since September 2025, the majority of the electricity consumed by Kautex’s European plants has been indirectly covered by solar energy. The virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA) that Kautex signed with the Spanish company BRUC for the Cartago B solar project in Seville runs for 15 years. Because true sustainability requires long-term commitment and reliable renewable energy.
The project has a capacity of 34.4 megawatts and will generate approximately 90 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year. It represents a key step toward achieving our sustainability goals, particularly the reduction of Scope 2 emissions by 25%.
