The tropics just around the corner
Just a few kilometres from our production site in Bonn lies a truly beautiful place: the Bonn Botanical Garden. It is one of the oldest and most significant botanical gardens in Germany. Located right next to Poppelsdorf Palace, it is operated by the University of Bonn. More than 11,000 plant species from around the world thrive here – from tiny alpine plants to tropical giants such as the titan arum, whose rare and spectacular bloom regularly draws crowds of visitors.
A visit is especially worthwhile in winter, when the greenhouses offer an escape from the cold. Inside, you’ll find an exotic world of palms, ferns, and tropical plants from every corner of the globe. If you’re looking to get away from winter for a moment, this lush oasis will make you feel as if you’ve slipped away on a mini tropical holiday. Admission is free all year round — and a visit is always worth it!
